ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS

Our team under Harsh Vardhan from Rajasthan is leading us in Organ Donation awareness. The team creates awareness among parents of young kids needing a transplant, which can be easier for them to manage than dialysis.

Kids getting treated in JK Lone  hospital, Jaipur were engaged in a colouring competition that was organized in the Nephrology ward on July 27th, to spread awareness on organ donation.  The event was a collaborative effort between the Kidney Patients Welfare Society, Rotary Club Jaipur Royal, and MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum. During the event, families were sensitized about the needs of pediatric kidney patients to get a life-saving gift of organ donation. Parents and family members were counseled and encouraged to get tested for kidney donation during the morning spent in the ward. We hope that events like these will inspire more people to come forward and support the noble cause of organ donation!

While traveling for the Transplant Games to Thailand with Harsh Vardhan as Indian Team Captain, the team organized an event at Jaipur Airport to raise awareness about organ donation. This initiative is part of a broader effort to educate the public about the critical need for organ donors and the life-saving impact of organ transplants. By engaging with travelers and airport staff, the team aimed to dispel myths, provide accurate information, and encourage more people to consider becoming organ donors.

Organ Donation Month was a time to pay homage to all those wonderful donors to celebrate their life and their selfless donation. A team of ten members from KPWS along with more than thirty members of Bank of India visited Jaipur’s Organ Donation Memorial in solidarity.
